Trump Congratulates Pashinyan on Armenia Election Win
According to reports, Trump posted on Truth Social saying, “Congratulations to Nikol Pashinyan for his decisive victory in Armenia’s National Elections,” adding that he had personally supported Pashinyan’s re-election bid.
He wrote, “I was very proud to have Endorsed him for Re-Election, and have no doubt that, with him as the Leader of the beautiful Country of Armenia, it will attain levels of Greatness and Success beyond everyone’s wildest expectations!”
Preliminary figures from Armenia’s Central Election Commission indicate that around 1.47 million of approximately 2.5 million eligible voters participated in Sunday’s vote across 2,005 polling stations, representing a turnout of nearly 59%.
Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party reportedly won 49.82% of the vote, while the opposition Strong Armenia party, led by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, received 23.28%.
